MANAGEMENT

THE PRINCIPALS OF E.C.M. COMBINE THREE DIVERSE YET COMPLEMENTARY CONSTRUCTION BACKGROUNDS WITH OVER 100 YEARS OF HANDS-ON EXPERIENCE TO BUILD A PROJECT TEAM YOU CAN TRUST.

Charles (Chuck) W. Poss III — President & C.E.O.

With over 30 years of experience in the general engineering construction industry, Chuck formed Earth Construction & Mining in 1992 to address specific needs for industry customers that were not being met. Previously Chuck was the Operations Manager/Chief Estimator for one of the largest general engineering contractors in California. He has a Bachelor of Science – Engineering (Construction) from Purdue University and is a past president of the Southern California Contractors Association (SCCA). He is currently on the Board of Directors for the SCCA and also serves as a Director for the Construction Industry Coalition on Water Quality. Chuck is a Trustee for the Construction Industry Advancement Fund, the Operating Engineers Training Trust and is a Co-Chair of the Laborer’s Training and Retraining Trust.

Roderick (Rod) J. Meyer — V.P. of Field Operations

Rod is responsible for the day-to-day operations at the project sites. He joined ECM in 2005. Rod became an Operating Engineer over 30 years ago working for some of the largest general engineering contractors in California. He is directly responsible for supervising all construction schedules, including subcontractor coordination and equipment and manpower utilization for the entire company. Rod started his career as a laborer on asphalt paving and grading crews, so you can really say that Rod gained his knowledge of engineering projects from the ground up.
